Livin' the Dream!
It has been freakin' crazy out heyah. haha. Seriously, I don't think I've worked so hard in my life. I was so exhausted my first few days and getting up at 6:30 or so every single day. There is so much to tell in such little time! Okay. So the Spanish is tough! Seriously, like I thought I had some experience and then...Nada. Lol. It was tough because on the third day here, we started TEACHING LESSONS to pretend investigators and that was awkward. Two teenage boys who don't know Spanish trying to teach about gold plates and some 14-year-old kid named Jose Smith. But the last few days I've been holding my head up high. I've been learning so much and it's been hard but worthwhile.
So there is a game at the cafeteria where if you have a sandwich, burger, etc. and you have taken a bite out of it then people can come and punch it. LOL! It's so freakin' hilarious. It hasn't happened to me yet and I haven't done it but whateva. My companion and I quote like aaaalll the time and I'm so thankful for that. Every morning when I wake up I say "I'm dying" and my companion goes "You're not dying, elder." Like off of Ferris Buehler's day off. We sing the Lord of the Rings theme song like ALL the time. Ya know Lord of the Rings has some amazing advice... Remember Sam saying to Frodo at the end of the Two Towers about holding onto something? Frodo: "What are we holding onto, Sam?" Sam: "There's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for". I think of that and apply it to my life. All souls are precious to our Heavenly Father, and they are WORTH FIGHTING FOR! Haha, What do we want!? A girl worth fighting fooooor! Sorry. I'm a quote machine.
The biggest thing I've learned here is the meaning of CHANGE. I can't believe how much I have changed since being here. This is NOT my time. It is Heavenly Fathers and he has humbled me. I've realized I have to Get over Myself and help others. It's not about me and never should have been. It's never about if the church is true, but if I'm being true to the church. I'm mold in his hand and I'm being molded. I love and miss you guys so MUCH! At night sometimes, I just think of how much you guys meant and mean to me. Whenever I think of the Lord of the Rings song, I get so happy because it makes me think of home. The shire. ;) Love you guys. You can put this on FB too. Definitely put the pics on FB. :) I love you guys MORE THAN YOU KNOW!!! NEVER EVER, FORGET IT! You guys are always in my heart. :)
