Released in 1940, the Academy Award nominated "Down Argentine Way" was filmed on location in Argentina. This delightful film marked Betty Grable's debut and put her on the map as a major film star. She plays an American girl on vacation in Argentina who falls for a wealthy racehorse owner played by a charming Don Ameche. The romantic comedy, filmed in Hollywood's luxurious Technicolor, showcased amazing dancing, glamorous costumes, and lively musicals, such as "South American Way and "Down Argentina Way".
